QB James Tabery

In the first quarter, the McNeese State Offesnce looked to be on fire when running back David Hamm had a 55 yard rushing touchdown on McNeese State first possession of the game. Later in the first qtr, James Tabery had a six yard passing touchdown to Parker Orgeron (son of LSU head coach Ed Orgeron).

In the second qtr, the rain put out the fire of the McNeese offence with a scoreless qtr.

The McNeese Cowboys came out after halftime looking like new fire was lite in them, however the offence faded out after a drive of 40 yards. In his first drive, he orchestrated a   48 yard scoring drive where the Cowboys went up 17-0 over the Lumberjacks.

In the fourth qtr, the Cowboys gave up their first points of the night after a fumble on the five yard line. then after the kickoff, the Cowboys fumbled the ball again which lead to another 3 points for the Lumberjacks for the final points in the game. The final score, McNeese State 17 SFA 10.

This was one hard fought battle in the “Hole” at Louis Bonnette Field. If you missed this game for the weather, the Cowboys will return home next Saturday night, Oct 6th at 6pm. and will play ACU.
